Background sync

Live fixtures refresh automatically every 45 seconds while the app is open, and finished results are imported on the same pass so dashboard accuracy updates itself. Schedulers can hit /api/public/sync to keep it running in the background.

How keys are stored

API keys are never kept in the browser or in the codebase. They live in encrypted server-side secrets and are only read inside server functions when a request is made. ESPN is accessed through its public, keyless feed; there is no sports API key to store. To connect another provider, ask in chat and a secure form will open.
